A 19th century oil on canvas English School portrait of a lady.

The work is very well executed with the depiction of light on the jewellery being of particular note.

There are scuffs and craquelure to the work with three small tears to the canvas; two to the upper left of the work and one to the left eye. The work nonetheless remains attractive.
