The City Derby is the Oxford's easier-going sibling — same sleek city polish, but with open lacing that sits over the vamp, giving the shoe a more relaxed fit through the instep and a little more room for higher arches. The details lift it beyond a plain Derby: a stitched cap toe, wing-line stitching sweeping back along the quarters, and rows of fine punched perforations tracing the seams — a nod to the brogue without the full pattern.
The uppers are our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), and the lacing runs behind hidden metal eyelets for a clean line down the front, with long, extra-strong laces in 100% recycled polyester tipped in zamak (a durable zinc alloy). Underfoot, a slim TR outsole is paired with a compressed Tunit heel (a hard-wearing rubber-resin compound) with a classic stacked finish, and a TR grip layer where it meets the ground. The heel sits at 2.5cm with a fine 0.7cm sole under the toe.
Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoe, soft and breathable against the foot, and the cushioned layered insoles pair a soft memory foam top layer with a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) for all-day comfort. Smart for the office, easy with chinos at the weekend — the Derby that covers both.
