The City Monk brings a bit of flair to the dress shoe — two straps crossing the instep, fastened with metal buckles in 100% zamak (a durable zinc alloy), over a stitched cap toe traced with fine brogue perforations along the seam and heel counter. It's the shoe that gets noticed in a room full of lace-ups, without ever trying too hard.
The uppers are our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), smooth and clean-grained. Underfoot, a slim TR outsole is paired with a compressed Tunit heel (a hard-wearing rubber-resin compound) with a classic stacked finish, and a TR grip layer where it meets the ground. The heel sits at 2.5cm with a fine 0.7cm sole under the toe.
Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoe, soft and breathable against the foot, and the cushioned layered insoles pair a soft memory foam top layer with a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) for comfort from first meeting to last train. Wear them where a suit needs a bit of personality, or let them sharpen up dark jeans — monks carry both.
