The slim fit is the sharper of the two — cut close through the leg with a gentle taper, fitted without going skinny, so it reads neat rather than tight. It sits comfortably at the waist and follows the line of the leg down, the kind of jean that looks put-together with almost no effort. Ours is cut in a heavyweight dark indigo denim and made in small batches in Italy by a factory that does nothing but denim, then stone-washed to that worn-in look from the first day you put them on.

The denim itself is the part we're proudest of. It's made from recycled production waste — the yarn discarded at the start and end of the dyeing line during normal denim manufacturing — which saves 65% of the water the standard method uses and is certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). It's dyed and finished in a northern Italian mill using natural, biodegradable indigo; the mill has held Detox Mill status since 2016 under the Greenpeace Detox protocol. Even the stone-wash uses a sustainable alternative to pumice, which avoids the waste sludge and the extra water that traditional pumice demands.

It's a proper five-pocket build: a button fly, golden contrast stitching, brass rivets at the stress points, and a recycled felt back patch. The denim is rigid and heavier weight, so it starts firm and softens as you go, moulding to your shape and fading into lighter blues that end up particular to you. Wash them rarely and those wear patterns come through all the more.

Slim fit is easy to style up or down. A tee and trainers for the everyday version, a shirt and boots for something sharper, and it takes a turn-up well if you want the hem to sit higher. A neat, versatile cut that pairs with just about everything.
