Product Details

A lovely Cornish art glass vase of small proportions by Norman Stuart Clarke, signed and dated 1986 to the base.

Arguably one of Britains leading glass blowers. Norman Stuart Clarke began his career at Nazeing glassworks in Essex, where he was dubbed 'Master of the flames'. In 1978 he joined Peter Layton at London Glassblowing and began creating his own work, before moving to Cornwall to set up his own studio in 1983.

This Clarke example boasts beautiful iridescent purple and blues throughout a bulbous body which terminates in a tapering neck. The vase has a small chip to the base, otherwise it is in a very good condition.
