Our popular Rig Boots are now available in this Goodyear welt construction version, so you can easily replace the outsoles at a cobbler.

The Goodyear Welt Rig Boots silhouette is iconic, with its moc toe stitching forming a distinct 'U' shape. The substantial yet supple Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials) moulds to your feet over time, creating a customised fit. The thick laces, in 100% recycled polyester with metal lace tips, are sturdy and classic, keeping your boots snugly on your feet. Inside, soft vegan suede lining and a deep Portuguese cork footbed layered with vegan suede provide comfort even after a long day on your feet — the cork moulding to your foot and improving with every wear.

Built to last years, they will keep carrying on and on with their cream solid Vibram® rubber outsoles — exceptional grip and durability from the most respected name in soling, and being stitched to the welt, a cobbler can replace them when the time comes. A pair of Goodyear welted boots can take up to eight weeks to make, using up to 75 boot parts and over 200 different operations. The origins of the method go back over three hundred years, and it's generally regarded throughout the worldwide boot-making industry as the best way to make superior boots. As you wear them, their fit and comfort just get better as the components mould to the shape of your foot.
