Product Details
A large Regency period rosewood veneered tea caddy with fitted interior and later Royal Marine cap badges (c.1925) replacing the front escutcheon and side handles.
The caddy is of sarcophagus form, edged with finely carved detail. The lid opens to reveal the original hinged rosewood tea canisters and a later blue and white bowl.
There is a loss to the moulding to the rear (lower back right), a small chip to the veneer to the rear above the top moulding and some general signs of wear commensurate with age. Generally the caddy is in a good attractive condition and of striking proportions.
