A charming pair of 19th century oil on canvas portraits depicting a seated husband and wife. Both portraits depict the sitter in a red chair, with each composed such that the portraits face each other. Both works are housed in a black and gilt frame with red velvet mount.
Both works show some light craquelure and minor signs of wear commensurate with age to the frame but generally remain in a very good attractive condition.
