A rare and substantial 17th century padouk wood side table.

The large moulded two plank top sits above a frieze drawer with a shaped apron, all upon four turned legs united by stretchers. Later brasses.

There are signs of historic repairs and restorations as expected with a piece of this age. The top shows some light marking. The wood throughout boasts a wonderful colour and patina. 

An unusual piece.
