Part of Shanling's Desktop Line, EM5 is a complete music centre designed around the ultimate home headphone experience. Shanling EM5 steaming DAC/Amp offers compatibility with a wide variety of impedances and connections, including balanced XLR and 4.4mm. EM5 also functions as as a DAC and pre-amplifier when combined with a separate power amplifier or active speakers.

To achieve the ideal sound performance in such complicated device, Shanling decided to split the power supply between two sections. Analogue components are powered by a small and highly efficient toroidal transformer, in combination with high-performing German capacitors, helping to achieve cleaner and smoother sound.

Independent Streaming Centre
Running a deeply customised closed Android system, EM5 serves as a stand-alone music system. No need for computer or complicated setup, just direct access to your music collection and streaming services.

Balanced Outputs
Utilizing both 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm jack connections, EM5 can be used with a vast majority of balanced headphones. And for anything else, there is still the standard single-ended 6.35mm output.

Bluetooth & Wi-Fi
Enjoy faster transfer speeds, reduced interference and smother streaming with support of 5G Wi-Fi. EM5 also offers two-way Bluetooth connectivity so it can be used as a Bluetooth DAC for easy music streaming for mobile phones and connections to wireless Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

Ready for Streaming
Apart from built-in streaming apps, EM5 can be used in your local network, utilising AirPlay, DLNA, or connected to NAS servers.

Companion App
Shanling's Eddict Player app, available for Android and iOS, allows you to take complete control over the EM5 from any device. Offering complete display mirroring it gives access to all features of the EM5.

Easily Fits Any System
EM5 combines so many different functions, it can fit into pretty much any home audio system. Switching quickly from headphones to speakers, running on its own or as a DAC with your computer of CD player, streaming from Tidal or from local NAS.

Thanks to the AGLO (Android Global Lossless Output) music from all apps will be processed correctly and at its full quality without any degradation by Android processes.

MQA & Hi-Res Audio
EM5 supports 8xMQa playback from locally stored files, streaming apps and over USB input. EM5 has received the Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Wireless Audio certification form the Japan Audio Society.
