“I Support Black Education” hoodie, priced £150 and made from organic and recycled cotton yarn in Portugal, from the Off-White and Vogue Collection collaboration benefitting The Black Curriculum.
Off-White™️ and British Vogue have joined forces in recognition of the vital role of Black history on modern culture and in opposition to the disproportionate barriers to education faced by Black youth around the world. All funds raised through “I Support Black Education” will benefit The Black Curriculum, a UK-based social enterprise committed to delivering Black history across the UK. Grounded in the arts, the organization aims to prepare students to become fully rounded citizens, in preparation for the increasingly globalized world of today.
The collection, designed collaboratively between the Off-White™️ and British Vogue teams, features special edition merchandise featuring traditional Off-White™️ PSA t-shirt and hoodie designs, re-imagined in airbrush cursive aesthetic, produced in organic cotton.
For Edward Enninful, British Vogue’s editor-in-chief and European editorial director, the Off-White™️ and Vogue collection is the most fitting parting gift from a man who “always worked for a greater cause than his own illustrious career. To open the door to art and fashion for future generations, so that they – unlike himself – would grow up in a creative world with people to mirror themselves in.”
The “I Support Black Education” capsule follows a series of PSA programs led by Virgil Abloh and carried on by his Off-White™️ team, including “I Support Young Black Businesses,” “I Support Black Women,” and “I Support All Forms of Love.”
